Architecture practice names new MD

(L-R): Ben Hall, Anthony Day and Ian McCann

Leicester-based IMA Architects has announced a pair of senior promotions – including a new MD.

The Blaby firm has appointed former director Anthony Day as its new boss while Ben Hall, formerly associate director, has been made director.

Ian McCann, who co-founded IMA in 1997, will remain as a director within the firm’s leadership team.

Anthony Day joined IMA Architects in 2006 before becoming a director in 2017.

He said: “I am very proud to be managing director of IMA Architects at what is an exciting time for the business. With numerous high profile client projects underway and the development of our own, UK first, technology with the IMA Digital Pods, I am looking forward to growing the company further and ensure that IMA is one of the best architectural companies in the UK.”

Hall, who joined the practice in 2007, said: “We are seeing an increasing number of our clients want to develop projects using BIM and this is certainly a growth area for us. I am delighted to now be a Director of IMA and I am looking forward to further developing our expertise in BIM for the benefit of our clients and IMA as a whole.”

He added: “Both Anthony and I would like to thank Ian McCann for his continued support and guidance over the 31 years that we have been with the company. We are both looking forward to continuing to work alongside Ian to drive the growth of IMA in the coming years.”
