A subsidiary of Derby-headquartered healthcare services provider Totally plc has won a £66m contract to deliver its services at two urgent treatment centres in Bromley, South East London.

Greenbrook Healthcare has been awarded the contract by the NHS South East London Integrated Care Board. It replaces an existing contract that Totally currently has in place for the two centres at Princess Royal University Hospital and Beckenham Beacon.

The contract will run for five years with the option to extend by a further three. It will begin on 1 April 2023.

Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally, said: “Our urgent treatment centres aim to prevent avoidable A&E attendances by ensuring that patients are treated in the most appropriate setting, according to their clinical and wellbeing needs. This means that NHS emergency service staff can focus on treating those with more serious conditions.

“We continue to work alongside the NHS to deliver quality services to patients, even during times of significant pressure.  This new contract reaffirms Totally’s position as a key partner to the NHS, as all those in healthcare continue to focus on ensuring patients can access the care they need, when they need it.”

Totally also told the London Stock Exchange this morning (12 December) it will pay the remaining £6.1m it owes following its March swoop for Pioneer Health Care Limited after the company achieved certain EBITDA targets for the year ended 31 March 2022.

The deal is worth £13m in total.
