On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

£12m wireless solutions provider Ramtech has appointed a new business unit director to lead its ongoing expansion into international fire safety and security markets.
Alan Middup joins the Nottingham firm having completed a trainee programme at Halma plc – Ramtech’s parent company – and having risen through the ranks to become global operations director at Sentric Safety Group.
Middup’s arrival follows former managing director Andy Hicks’ move into a consultative role.
He said: “Ramtech has a strong innovation pipeline and growth into multiple new markets is on the horizon, which is an exciting period for the business. In this new role, my initial focus will be to build on these objectives by working closely with the sales teams and spending time with our valued customers in all of our key regions. I look forward to meeting this challenge head on and to create solutions quickly while accelerating how our existing offerings can be improved through research and development.
“We are continuing to see how connected solutions, new hardware possibilities and avenues for partnership across lots of different sectors can benefit a rapidly changing world. The challenge is to keep adding value and to lead the way. Ramtech employs 70 people and operates in 30 geographies across the globe.
Northamptonshire-headquartered contractor Kori Construction has appointed a new commercial director.
Kyle Fielding has been promoted to Kori’s Board three years after initially joining the firm as a quantity surveyor.
The firm’s managing director Jordan Connachie said: “The business has grown exponentially since Kyle joined back in late 2019 and with a large, secured forward order book of profitable work, we needed someone who really understands how we work.
“Kyle has successfully led on reshaping the how the business financials are managed and reported, and with that and his impressive work ethic, he was very well positioned to take on the role of commercial director. The Board had no hesitation in appointing him.
