Derbyshire-based contractor AG Construction has won a £550,000 contract to convert a newly built commercial property on Derby Road in Ashbourne into a veterinary orthopaedic hospital.

The Hilton firm is working closely with Turner & Co Consulting on the project, which will see the 6,060 sq ft site next to Stirling Business Park transformed into a high-spec care facility for four-legged friends in the Derbyshire market town.

A spokesperson for AG Construction told TheBusinessDesk.com the project requires “a significant amount of work and expertise.”

They added: “The company is committed to working closely with architects Turner & Co Consulting Ltd. to produce a turnkey project that exceeds their client’s expectations.”

The completed facility will provide a full range of services from diagnosis to treatment.

Last month, AG Construction – the dedicated construction arm of AG Group – announced it had won a contract to convert the former Waterside Inn pub in Derby into apartments, with sister company AG Homes also exchanging contracts on a 2,700 sq ft site nearby.
