On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

James Hall

EMBS Engineering has appointed a new managing director.

James Hall first became a recruitment consultant at the tender age of 17. Now 32, he steps into the hot seat at the Derby recruitment consultancy following three successive promotions.

He said: “This is an exciting time for me, and for EMBS Engineering. I have always wanted to run my own business. I’m an extremely driven person but understand the importance of having the right team around me; a team who are both talented and diverse.

“I honestly believe that success comes from empowering people and listening to their ideas. EMBS sees recruitment and talent differently. We have always been ahead of the curve, understanding the needs of job seekers and employers.”

EMBS Group director Simon Bucknell added: “James is clearly very talented. He leads by example and, in 2021, he delivered almost a year’s worth of recruitment sales revenue in one quarter.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how the business grows with James at the helm.”

Elsewhere, Hinckley-based financial consultancy Everlong Wealth has welcomed a trio of new apprentices.

The news comes after the firm was awarded Corporate Chartered status by the CII.

Paul Hamilton, managing director of Everlong Wealth, said: “The name ‘Everlong’ signifies our dedication to nurture long-lasting client relationships to provide first-class services at every stage of their financial, and personal, journeys. To deliver this longstanding commitment, we recognise the need to invest in the future generation of financial planners, which is reflected through our apprenticeship opportunities.”
