Sustainable fashion brand gears up for Nottingham launch

Sustainable fashion brand Lucy & Yak has chosen Nottingham as the location for its fourth physical store.
The Brighton company has taken the lease on vacant premises at 11 The Poultry in the city centre. The unit was previously occupied by JoJo Maman Bebe, which vacated the site when the previous lease expired.
The 2,147 sq ft unit, which also includes a basement, was let to the firm by FHP Property Consultants on behalf of a private landlord.
Oliver Marshall, director at FHP Property Consultants, said: “This is a great result for Nottingham. Lucy & Yak have got a huge following which continues to grow and for them to choose Nottingham as the latest destination for their next store is testament to the city. This bright and colourful brand have already made a real statement with their shop fitting works underway including a bright pink shop front you cannot miss. It is exciting to see new and upcoming retailers taking space and choosing Nottingham for their ongoing growth plans.”
Chris Renwick, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “We can’t wait to be open in Nottingham this month after carrying out shop fitting works to the unit. The city is full of arts, cultural and history. This will extend our physical store presence to the East Midlands where we can reach even more of our community and continue building our Re:Yaks network. The shop is in a fantastic position close to good quality operators with good footfall throughout the day.”
Lucy & Yak is scheduled to open in Nottingham on Saturday 18 February.
