Magpies set to honour late CEO at Good Friday game

Jason Turner

Notts County are set to honour their former CEO Jason Turner, who sadly passed away last week, at the crunch National League game at home to Wealdstone this Friday.

In honour of Turner, the Magpies, who are locked in a tussle for the championship with Wrexham, have confirmed the following tributes: commemorative matchday programme; both teams to wear special warm-up t-shirts and black armbands; tribute flag on display in the Kop; and a pre-match minute’s applause.

A statement from Turner’s family, who will be in attendance, said: “Words cannot describe how appreciative we are of everyone’s incredible support.

“We knew how loved and respected Jason was but the hundreds of messages we’ve received have been a great comfort to us.

“While we remain stricken by grief, we could not miss the opportunity to join Jason’s colleagues and the club’s supporters in remembering him at what was his second home.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the club, who have been so supportive.”
