New finance chief takes the reins at Microlise

Nick Wightman

Nottingham-based transport management software provider Microlise has appointed a new CFO.

Nick Wightman will replace Bill Wynn as finance boss at the AIM-listed firm following Wynn’s decision to retire after 15 years with the company.

Wightman joined Microlise in 2012 and is credited with playing a key role in the group’s refinancing and reorganisation in 2018, as well as its IPO three years later. He also helped lead on the acquisition of TruTac in 2020 and the firm’s £2m swoop for Vita Software in March, and was instrumental in establishing its offices in India, France and Australia.

A chartered management accountant, Wightman previously held senior financial roles at Ardagh Group, Bombardier Transportation and Airfoil Technologies. He holds an ACCA Diploma in International Financial Reporting.

Nadeem Raza, CEO of Microlise, said: “We would like to congratulate Nick on his appointment as CFO and welcome him to the Board. Nick has made a significant contribution to Microlise since he joined in 2012 and we look forward to working with him to deliver the Group’s strategic priorities.”
