On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Node Building Consultancy has appointed Maddie Storey as an assistant building surveyor.
Her hire consolidates the Nottingham firm’s existing offering and will enable it to meet continuing strong demand for its services.
Storey, who has four years’ experience in the growth sector of energy compliance, is currently in the latter stages of her building surveying degree apprenticeship at Nottingham Trent University.
The appointment follows that of James Ireson, who joined the business as a graduate building surveyor late last year.
Tom Burton, director at Node Building Consultancy, said: “We are excited to have Maddie join us, continuing our growth strategy and assisting us in ensuing client satisfaction as instruction volumes continue to increase. We are also delighted to be able to support the apprenticeship degree programme and offer a training programme, assisting Maddie on her journey to becoming a chartered building surveyor.”
Storey added: “I am very pleased to have joined the team at Node! I’m looking forward to learning new surveying skills and developing my knowledge at an experienced and highly reputable company, who can help me to excel through the final stages of my degree and towards my chartership!”
Elsewhere, Vital Energi, the South Derbyshire-based provider of energy related services and systems, has created a specialist team to support its operations in the high growth heat pump market.
Heat pumps are expected to play a key role in the UK’s transition to net zero, with installations predicted to increase from 55,000 to 600,000 a year by 2028.
