Language support business secures funding for non-native speakers

CruxMate, a start-up language support business has landed a four-figure funding from First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans through the British business banks start up loans programme.

This financial support will help the enable the business to launch and start trading.

First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans offers government backed business loans with a range spanning from £500-£250,000, specially catering to start-ups SMEs facing challenges in obtaining loans from conventional high-street lenders.

As a not-for-profit entity, the organisation channels its profits back into loan funds, effectively contributing to the promotion of economic growth and job creation within local communities.

Founder of CruxMate, Iwona Weclawska said: “Choosing First Enterprise was an excellent decision for me! The process was quick and simple.

CruxMate helps individuals encountering English language difficulties offering  interpretation and translation services.

The company also offers professional phone support services for communication with government agencies like HMRC, the Home Office and Local Councils.

This encounter alerted Weclawska to the need for language support among non-native English speakers in the UK and served as inspiration for her to create CruxMate.

The financial support provided by First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans is being invested into the development of a website that will be accessible in multiple languages and designed to be user friendly. Secondly, part of the funding will be allocated towards the acquisition of office equipment including laptops, mobile phones, printers and stationery.
