Troubled training firm faces uncertain future

A Derbyshire training firm is facing an uncertain future after posting another notice of intention to appoint administrators (NOI).
Technique Learning Solutions, which is based in Clay Cross, posted its fifth NOO of the year yesterday (July 25) – this time through law firm Walker Morris.
Technique posted its first NOI in March this year. The firm describes itself as “one of the UK’s top quality training providers in electrical, air conditioning, refrigeration, gas, AM2 and plc training”.
Last month, Technique, which has sponsored Chesterfield FC’s stadium for three years, ended the agreement with the Spireites two years early.
According to Companies House, Technique’s accounts are overdue and should have been filed by the end of February, while in May a notice to strike the firm off the register of companies and dissolve the business was filed. This was suspended a week later.
Technique’s last available accounts were filed back in November 2021, for the year ending February 28 of that year. They show the firm had assets of £350,679. The average number of employees during the year was 25.
