Rapid regional expansion beckons for repair and maintenance specialist

Dortech Maintenance Ltd, a specialist in fenestration repair and maintenance, has achieved a turnover of £2m and profits of over £400,000 in its debut year.

The Huddersfield-based business, which has a team of 16 glazing maintenance engineers & surveyors, originated in Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd, a 30-year-old architectural glazing business.

Its formation was in response to increasing demands within the Renovation, Maintenance and Improvement (RMI) industry.

Dortech Maintenance Ltd notes its success has come in the face of multiple challenges for its sector.

It notes hurdles such as soaring material costs, the impact of events such as the Grenfell Tower disaster on the cost of Professional Indemnity Insurance, and a “profound” shortage of skilled labour.

However, the business has recently expanded its horizons by opening a new office in Leicester. This is designed to cater to surging demand for the business’s services across the Midlands and South of England.

The company has outlined plans to extend its footprint even further and it intends to establish a base in Liverpool to serve the North West region.

Dave Hircock, maintenance director, said: Growing strong from Yorkshire roots, Dortech Maintenance Ltd has achieved a remarkable £2m turnover in our very first year.

“Our recent expansion into Leicester marks an exciting step toward serving even more clients in the Midlands and South of England. We’re not stopping there – with our sights set on Liverpool, our momentum keeps moving forward.

“Our commitment to quality and growth remains unwavering, and we’re excited to keep pushing boundaries in the world of fenestration repair and maintenance.”
