New beauty business launches in Castle Donington

A new business called Sculpted Beauty has opened in Castle Donington.

Rebecca Barton launched her beauty business earlier this year in the three-county border village.

The business, located on Borough Street, specialises in Cryolipolysis, commonly known as ‘fat-freezing’ while also offering additional services like radio frequency and ultrasound cavitation for body sculpting.

Bartons says the procedure has existed for three decades, although it was initially expensive. Now, it’s available at a cost of £120 per session, making it significantly more affordable than liposuction.

Complementing the treatment, she also stresses the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, which includes maintaining a balanced diet and engaging in three 30-minute exercise sessions every week.

Barton said: “It isn’t an easy fix. When I had the first treatment, I felt like I’d been robbed, but, after 4-6 weeks I started to notice the inch loss in my jeans. I discovered that by the end of the treatment package I’d lost 7lb of fat, going from 21 on the BMI scale to 19.”

After discovering a lump on her breast, it was verified that Barton also carries the BRCA1 breast cancer gene, which her mother had been confirmed to carry in 2018.

With the gene confirmation, Barton has made the decision to undergo a double mastectomy and reconstruction. This experience has heightened her emphasis on the value of self-care and a positive body perspective, which she aims to promote through her recently established business.

She added: “It is important to love yourself exactly as you are but if you want to change then that is okay too.”
