Nottingham-based architectural practice CPMG has made three new hires for its city centre headquarters.

Matthew Vicary and Christina Agathangelou join the architecture team. Meanwhile Jenny Hale steps into a new marketing role.

Both Vicary and Agathangelou join as senior architect and architect, bringing more than a decade of experience between them.

Vicary said: “Joining CPMG’s team in Nottingham, the vibrant office culture and close-knit team have made it really easy to get settled into my new role. The range of projects across the portfolio is really impressive, and I’m excited to delve further into everything the team is currently working on. In particular, to learn and contribute to the lead CPMG are taking on sustainability, designing and delivering low to zero carbon projects.”

Hale joins the team in CPMG’s first marketing-centric role.

She said: “It’s an exciting time to join the CPMG team and take on a key role in driving the strategy and purpose of the business forward. Together with the team, we’re taking this opportunity to really reflect on our people, purpose and place ethos to create a new strategy that truly showcases what CPMG is all about.

“Work is already underway in pushing the CPMG brand into the future and showcasing the amazing work our architects and interior designers produce – and the difference they make to communities while doing it.”

Nick Gregory, director at CPMG Architects said: “As a business, we always have an eye on the future and the appointments of Jenny, Matthew and Christina in Nottingham reflect this. We’re continually growing our project portfolio and capabilities, with our architects and interior designers delivering work not just up and down the UK, but internationally too. From improved communications to sector growth, our ambitions are clear and everyone will be contributing to the journey we’re on.”

Nottingham indoor cycling brand Wattbike has appointed direct to consumer (DTC) director Ahmed Khodja.

Khodja joins the Wattbike team with a formidable track record in e-commerce strategy, following a decade working with global manufacturer and online retailer of licensed sportswear, Fanatics.

Khodja will also be supporting the B2B Commercial growth, as the team recently launched distribution of the Wattbike Atom via distributor partners in China, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Hong Kong.

Khodja said: “I’m delighted to be joining the passionate team at Wattbike, and to be taking on such a pivotal role in the brand’s plans for international growth. Wattbike is loved by elite teams and athletes around the world with good reason, their credentials and quality of product setting them well apart from their competitors. I’m very much looking forward to helping shape the brand’s digital future, using my extensive experience of e-commerce and connections within the industry.”

Stephen Loftus, CEO of Wattbike, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Ahmed to the Wattbike team – his depth of experience in e-commerce across international markets and innate understanding of the sports industry means I’m confident that he’ll accelerate our global e-commerce strategy, and take the brand to new audiences and markets.

“He will support us in our quest to become the world’s leading training platform with ecommerce at the forefront of our strategy, opening the Wattbike brand up to newer audiences to continue to improve the health and performance of fitness enthusiasts across the world.”
