Royal Representatives to celebrate East Mids businesses at KuKu Birthday

The KuKu Annual Birthday Reception takes place on Thursday, 16th November at PRYZM in Nottingham and will be the first time the annual event will be hosted in Nottinghamshire. The annual black-tie event celebrates businesses, the Armed Forces and community organisations from across the Midlands and East Midlands.

Business Desk readers are all invited, but you need to book your complimentary places quick.

His Majesty The King has special representatives attending to represent the Crown and the Nottinghamshire Lieutenancy with Mark Goldby, DL and Hon. Air Commodore, Professor Veronica Pickering, MBS, DL, who is the current High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire. PRYZM is the former Palais, which is a partly Grade II Listed iconic Nottingham venue, that venue in the 1920’s as a dance hall and has remained a night-time venue ever since, having its own Nottingham heritage and history. The multi purpose venue is part of the Rekom group, who are Northern Europe’s largest night-time venue operator, who will co-host this year’s reception.

Hundreds of businesses will join the special Royal representatives at a ‘KuKu-style evening of business connecting, which is an all-night long networking event, serving a grazing supper, including savouries, sweet treats from Cass Bakes and a cheese tower from one of the region’s best delicatessens, Delilah, even mushroom magic coffees from Ultra and chocolates from Cocoa-Amore.

The annual reception is an ideal opportunity to connect with businesses, entrepreneurs and leaders from across the Midlands, whilst enjoying an evening of entertainment, surprises and fantastic prizes. This year’s reception will feature a laser-tag experience and Virtual Reality simulations, from Altered Reality Zone and much more, with KuKu Co-Founder, Stephen Goddard saying “this fabulous evening is open to any organisation, is free to attend and is where KuKu hosts a unique evening of business to really say ‘well done’ to all those businesses who contribute to our region’s economy, Armed Forces and community. We do not sit down at tables, so it is a fun evening and real business takes place, so make sure you join us!”

KuKu Connect was launched in 2016 and has grown to become one of the UK’s top networking organisations, wining national global recognition for their events, innovation, entrepreneurship, being the first business in the UK to be given a special national award for their support to businesses and charities throughout the COVID lockdowns. With in-person networking ‘Connect Receptions’ each month in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and a huge digital audience and community that spans much of the UK, KuKu have created a networking membership which brings decision makers and business owners together as peers in luxury settings in a relaxed and informal style, where valuable relationships are built and business happens.

Working with the likes of Porsche, The Ministry of Defence, Hugo Boss and Revolutions Bars to stately homes and castles through to start-ups and micro businesses, KuKu is regarded as one of the best places to connect your business in the Midlands, offering a service which KuKu say can be used in your business every week.

“During the year with KuKu, we have had the opportunity meet and work with over 40 one-on-one clients.” says Nick Johnston-Davis from Unstoppabl. Carol Pull from PA Your Way, says “Ive got my biggest client via a referral from a fellow KuKu Connect Member. Several year’s KuKu membership fees were covered in just one month’s invoice.”

“It is really important that businesses and community organisations are encouraged and recognised for all their hard work in leadership, innovation and service, so this unique event is a valuable opportunity to not only celebrate, but to make great business connections and end the evening with guest DJs and dancing. So dress in your finest and come and join us as complimentary guests.” says Philip Brooks-Stephenson, co-founder of KuKu Connect.
