Two units have been let at Genesis Park in South Wigston near Leicester.

An 18,570 sq ft unit has been secured by healthcare company Fresenius Medical Care for a new dialysis clinic.

Developed and owned by Chancerygate, Genesis Park is a 128,180 sq ft urban logistics scheme consisting of 15 units ranging from 4,800 sq ft to 18,570 sq ft.

Fresenius Medical Care is a global leader in products and services for individuals with renal diseases.

The company, caring for over 344,000 patients worldwide, has 50 dialysis clinics in the UK and 42 production sites globally.

Having signed a 15-year lease, Fresenius Medical Care is converting the unit to establish a 49-bed renal dialysis unit with training and consulting rooms, expected to be operational in Autumn 2024.

Additionally, a 12,300 sq ft unit at Genesis Park has been sold to an undisclosed owner-occupier.

One unit at the site is currently under offer, leaving 12 units available for freehold or leasehold, ranging from 4,800 sq ft to 9,975 sq ft.

Located just over five miles south of Leicester city centre, neighbouring occupiers include Tesco, Lidl, and Wickes.

Chancerygate’s senior development director, Matthew Connor, said: “The level of interest throughout the development’s build has been high, and now construction is complete interest in the remaining units is continuing to grow.

“We’re very pleased to have completed these two deals, showcasing our expertise in working with prospective occupiers on both a freehold and leasehold basis. The letting to Fresenius Medical Care further evidences the diverse range of businesses our Grade A accommodation is suitable for. Genesis Park’s strategic location means occupiers will be best placed to serve both the locality and the wider East Midlands region. We encourage any parties interested in taking space at the scheme to get in touch for more information.”
