Automotive parts firm alerts administrators

An automotive parts manufacturer in Nottinghamshire is facing administration, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

The company has posted a notice of intention to appoint administrators through law firm Bermans. The move will protect Interflex from any action from creditors for a period of around two weeks.

Interflex supplies a range of sealing solutions for the automotive sector including door seals, interior trim, under carpet and boot seals.

The firm also coats and cuts materials such as the fabric used for arm rests to ensure durability and comfort.

In 2021, Interflex changed hands in an MBO led by the former CEO of manufacturer the Autins Group, Jim Griffin

In 2022, the firm expanded into the horticultural sector with a very different product range by adding biodegradable mulch mats for planting saplings and strawberries to its production line in Langar.

Interflex has been contacted for comment but hadn’t responded by the time we went to press. According to its latest accounts, the company employed 32 people.
