Rams publish first accounts since 2018

Pride Park, home of Derby County

Derby County have published their first annual accounts since 2018.

The results for the 13 months to the end of June 2023 show revenues at £20.4m and an underlying loss of £12m.

The club spent £17.2m on wages over the period and made a profit on player sales of £1.6m.

The Rams are in debt to their owner, Clowes Developments, to the tune of £36m – but this is an interest-free loan.

The figures also reveal that Derby are pay £872,00 a year in rent for Pride Park.

Clowes bought the Rams out of administration in July 2022 in a rescue deal that ended a long-running saga that saw it spend most of the previous season under the stewardship of turnaround and insolvency firm, Quantuma.

Derby County currently sit third in League One, just a point behind Bolton Wanderers who occupy the last automatic promotion place to the Championship.
