Nottingham inward investment boss announces retirement

Lorraine Baggs

The boss of Nottingham’s inward investment strategy is to retire.

Lorraine Baggs, head of inward investment for 16 years at Invest in Nottingham is set to step down from her role.

Baggs broke the news on LinkedIn late on Monday afternoon (March 25), saying: “After many years I’m leaving Invest in Nottingham and taking early retirement.

“I wish my wonderful team and everyone at Marketing Nottingham & Nottinghamshire all the very best going forward.

“I’ll really miss all the lovely friends and contacts I’ve made over the years.”

Baggs has been a familiar face on the East Midlands networking and events scene over the last decade and a half – at home and abroad – and has represented Nottingham at MIPIM and other trade shows all over Europe and the UK.

Tributes from across the East Midlands – and further afield – came flooding in on Monday.

Baggs’ replacement has not yet been revealed.
