Cold storage firm heats up construction of major new facility

Magnavale, a provider of temperature-controlled storage solutions, has reached a milestone in constructing its new facility, Magnavale Easton in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
With completion anticipated in later this year, the company has announced that the external structure of the 101,000-pallet temperature-controlled facility is now complete.
Additionally, the Magnavale areas within the Sadel Food Hub are progressing, with the cladding finished and the yard works, including the car park, truck park, and internal roadways, advancing throughout the spring and early summer.
Amanda Cogan, chief operating officer at Magnavale, said: “Seeing the external structure of Easton complete is a huge milestone for all the teams that have been working on the development, and our Maganavale Easton team already working on site who are seeing the site being rapidly regenerated. Once operational, the facility will play a critical role in supporting food production in Lincolnshire as well as surrounding locations.”

Magnavale operates Europe’s largest food specialist microwave up-tempering suite at its Chesterfield facility, as well as being the UK’s largest supplier of blast freezing solutions.
