Victoria Centre names new chief executive
SGS Group, the owner of four UK shopping and leisure destinations has named Claire Barber as its new chief executive.
The group’s portfolio includes Victoria Centre (Nottingham), Lakeside, atria Watford, and Braehead (near Glasgow).
Starting 30 September, Claire Barber will join from FTSE100 student accommodation developer Unite Group, where she was the group asset management director.
Barber brings experience, having spent three years as director of asset management at Cadogan Estates and 13 years as head of retail asset management at British Land PLC.
She said: “Together with the newly appointed board, I look forward to continuing to build on SGS’s strong operational and financial performance and to strengthen our partnerships with retailers and local communities to deliver exciting places for our customers to shop and enjoy leisure time.”
