Security services firm teams up with social justice organisation
Nottinghamshire-based Octavian Security UK has partnered with social justice organisation Himmah to address issues like food poverty, racism, and educational inequality.
Through this collaboration, Octavian will contribute to a Nottingham independent food bank, offering essential support to vulnerable communities, fostering leadership and helping people find employment while advocating for local and national equality.
Kiran Ghuman, managing director at Octavian, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Octavian have begun working very closely with Himmah and contributing donations to Himmah’s General Fund, which is a key factor in ensuring the charity’s range of support services can be maintained and delivered effectively.
“Working more closely, both organisations hope to build on this by developing volunteering and fundraising opportunities for Octavian colleagues, raising awareness of social justice across the region, and continuing to find innovative ways of tackling inequalities.”
Sajid Mohammed, director at Himmah said: “So far, Octavian’s donations are making a real impact for those in need. The support goes a long way in ensuring Himmah can maintain its diverse range of support services, through which more than 400 people gain vital support on a weekly basis, through hot meals, food parcels, free welfare advice, skills development and more.”
