Derby law firm advises on sale of road construction company

A Derby law firm has advised Autotrak Portable Roadways on its sale to AIM Listed, Facilities by ADF PLC.

Martyn Brierley, Mark Wilcock and Mandy Chan of Flint Bishop’s Corporate team advised the road construction company, while James McBain Allen and Joe Bates of Bishopsgate Corporate Finance provided corporate finance advice to the selling shareholders, and Peter Hully of Claritas Tax supported on tax.

ADF, a provider of production facilities for the film and TV industry, has acquired Autotrak, an Oxfordshire-based company, in a deal worth up to £21.3m.

The acquisition strengthens ADF’s presence in the film and high-end television (HETV) markets.

Autotrak, a supplier of temporary roadways for the UK film and TV industry, brings expertise in providing access to remote locations, enhancing ADF’s existing services.

Martyn Brierley, head of corporate and finance at Flint Bishop, who led the legal advisory team for Autotrak, said:
“This was an important acquisition for both Facilities by ADF Plc and our clients and we relished working alongside the teams at Bishopsgate Corporate Finance and Claritas Tax, and with the Buyer’s professional advisors Acuity Law and Crowe, to bring this deal to a successful completion today. We look forward to seeing the combined businesses growth together, stronger – a great outcome for all parties involved.”

Maria Fox, director of Autotrak Portable Roadways said: “We are excited and looking forward to the future collaboration between ADF, Location One and Autotrak. We have always put the greatest of emphasis on customer service and we believe this move will enable us and the group to achieve this to even greater extend. We would not have been able to achieve this without our advisers Flint Bishop (legal), Bishopsgate Corporate Finance (corporate finance) and Claritas Tax (tax).”
