Engineering firm MARCH has been sold to EMK Capital – a deal which provides an exit for Aliter Capital.

The deal will see a EMK invest in MARCH.

MARCH, which reported turnover of £188m for the year ending February 2024, has a forward order book exceeding £840m.

MARCH, which was formerly called Edwin James Group, currently has offices in the East Midlands in Burton and Swadlincote and other offices in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Burton on Trent, Swadlincote, Newcastle, Manchester, Warrington, Peterborough, Daresbury, Tapton, Leeds, Reading, Mildenhall, Whitehaven and Birmingham.

The acquisition follows MARCH’s rebranding in September, which consolidated the expertise of operating companies ACS, Musk Process Services, Parker Technical Services, and Peak Technology Solutions.

The transaction terms are undisclosed.

Christopher Kehoe, CEO at MARCH, said: “We are proud to have helped some of the biggest brands in the UK look after their critical environments and assets. EMK’s backing helps accelerate our ambitious growth plans, positioning us for the next chapter of our growth. We would like to thank Aliter who have been an excellent partner to the business.

“Investing in our people has been and will continue to be crucial to our growth strategy. By enabling our workforce to cultivate the required expertise, we can continue to focus on engineering progress, better supporting our customers to meet the evolving challenges around energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and operational improvement.”
