All jobs lost as furniture firm collapses

ANK Manufacturing, the Long Eaton furniture supplier, has collapsed with the loss of 26 jobs.

Carolynn Best and Thomas Harris of Begbies Traynor have were appointed to look after the day-to-day running of the company at the end of October.

Best said: “The past 12 months have been very challenging for the company, who have faced rising overheads in multiple areas. Despite efforts to increase turnover with a focused business development programme, and attempts to diversify, the situation became untenable, and the business ceased trading.”

According to documents posted at Companies House, ANK Manufacturing owed almost £337,000 to creditors when it ceased trading.

The firm was set up in 2018.
