Six by Nico given green light for Nottingham opening

A restaurant that serves six-course meals and changes its menu every six weeks has been granted planning approval to open in Nottingham.

Six by Nico has been given the go-ahead by Nottingham City Council to transform the former George’s Great British Kitchen at 15 Queen Street, a listed building, into a new restaurant.

Six by Nico has 11 venues throughout the UK and Ireland.

The planning application outlines proposals to include 92 covers – 56 on the ground floor, 24 on a mezzanine and a 12-seater private dining room.

Six by Nico’s current menu includes Land of Oz, Chippie Festive Lunch, Festive Roast, Chippie 10 Course and Nostalgia.

A planning statement reads: “As the significance of the listed building would not be affected and it would be appreciated by more people as a result of bringing it back into use, its importance will be preserved in a manner entirely consistent with policy.”
