New director swings into action at Derbyshire golf club

Horsley Lodge has announced the appointment of Danny Bursztyn as its new director of golf and head professional.

Bringing decades of experience as a player and coach Bursztyn’s arrival strengthens the club’s reputation as a Derbyshire golfing destination.

Bursztyn turned professional at just 17, earning his PGA qualification at The Belfry in 2000.

His playing career saw him compete on elite tours, including the European Challenge Tour, South African Sunshine Tour and EuroPro Tour.

As a coach for Nottinghamshire’s junior squads, he led teams to league victories while mentoring golfers of all ages and abilities.

His coaching philosophy extends beyond swing mechanics, incorporating fitness, flexibility and mindfulness techniques.

As a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Coach and yoga instructor, he blends physical training with mental focus to help players improve both their performance and enjoyment of the game.

He said: “I’m thrilled to join the team at Horsley Lodge and look forward to contributing to the exceptional golfing experience here. I’m passionate about helping golfers of all levels discover their potential and enjoy the game in a new and fulfilling way.”
