Plans revealed for major new leisure complex

Plans for a major leisure complex in Leicestershire have been revealed that could create 30 jobs.
The scheme, near Bosworth Water Park, includes a health spa including restaurants, treatment rooms, swimming pool, gym and training facilities, a conference/wedding venue and 38 holiday lodges.
The proposal has been lodged by local business owners the Riley family with Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council by Bosworth Lakeside Lodges as the second phase of leisure development to their successful private lodge development on the former waterpark to the east of the site.
A planning statement reads: “This wellness spa and lodge proposal presents a natural fit with the family’s established businesses capable of supporting growth in this sector through the delivery of a unique leisure and tourism offer for this area.
“Talks have already commenced with other local businesses to seek collaboration that will guarantee delivery and benefit the local economy and expansion of existing businesses.”
The site is to the east of Coton Bridge Lane and south of Wellsborough Road, Market Bosworth comprising a 4.6 hectare arable field used for growing Christmas trees
