Brinder Vijsir

Flint Bishop has appointed Brinder Vijsir as head of technology innovation.

Vijsir joins Flint Bishop from Simply Conveyancing Property Lawyers, where he spent four years as head of technology change, leading digital transformation and IT strategy.

Before this, he spent over 20 years at Simplify, holding several roles, most recently serving as Group Senior Business Analyst.

Throughout his career, he has managed large-scale digital initiatives, introducing AI-driven strategies to support business growth, implementing case and practice
management systems across multiple locations, and rolling out cutting-edge solutions to streamline client services.

With a strong background in project management, change leadership, and IT governance,
Vijsir has championed innovative approaches to change management, fostering
collaboration and helping teams embrace new technologies.

Chris Street

A gas industry specialist has joined Luxfer Gas Cylinders as its global director of sales.

Chris Street, who also serves as president of the British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA), not only brings extensive experience to his new role but has the added benefit of having been a customer of Luxfer himself when he owned a gas business nearly 20 years ago.

He has a career spanning over 40 years and started his journey as an engineer, followed by senior roles with several gas companies.

In 2006, Street acquired his own speciality gas business, Scientific and Technical Gases (StG) – growing the team from 6 to 72 employees in eight years.

He said: “Joining Luxfer feels like coming home. I aim to strengthen our core aluminium cylinder business, explore new markets, and ensure the company remains the benchmark for excellence in the industry. The focus will be on being bold, agile and always putting our customers first.”

Matthew Egglenton and Alex Reid

Mather Jamie has announced the appointment of Matthew Egglenton as its new graduate commercial surveyor.

Egglenton joins the Loughborough-based property consultancy after completing a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University.

He will now be working towards his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) while supporting Mather Jamie’s senior surveyors across a range of commercial property transactions.

In his role, he will be gaining valuable hands-on experience by including property viewings, advising clients on leasehold and freehold sales & lettings, valuation, carrying out marketing inspections, researching market comparables and assisting with negotiations.

Egglenton said: “The company has a proven track record of successfully guiding graduates through the APC process, and I was keen to be part of a respected firm with a strong reputation in the East Midlands. I’m looking forward to developing my skills and progressing my career in commercial property.”

Alex Reid, commercial director at Mather Jamie said: “We are very pleased to welcome Matthew to our commercial team. His enthusiasm and commitment to developing his expertise in the property sector align perfectly with our values.
