New government contracts manager for John Pye

Nottingham-headquartered auction house John Pye & Sons has promoted client account manager Carlie Martin to government contracts manager following a raft of contract wins.
Martin joined John Pye in 2016, gaining experience working within the business development and luxury assets teams. More recently, in 2024, she supported the auctioneer in securing six new high-value supplier contracts. She also supported the tender in which John Pye was appointed as a new supplier on the NEPO procurement framework for managed remarketing of vehicles and plant, which was announced last month.
In her new role, Martin will oversee John Pye’s public sector contracts and framework agreements. She will also be responsible for developing the auctioneer’s tender strategy, negotiating contracts and renewals with government agencies, plus acquiring surplus or seized assets for auction. Martin’s brief also includes new business opportunities and supporting the bidding for government disposal contracts.
She said: “I’m really pleased about my new appointment. John Pye has enjoyed a strong period of success, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the bid team to identify new opportunities, support our clients and maximise value for John Pye and Government organisations.”
Based at the firm’s Nottingham headquarters, Martin will report to director Addison Pye and oversee several direct reports from the tender bid team.
Addison Pye said: “Carlie is a huge asset to the business and this internal promotion is a testament to that. She has demonstrated great skill and aptitude in building client relationships, and it’s good to have her now focusing on this important sector for the business.”
