CET Structures signs Quiss deal

Staffordshire IT firm Quiss Technology has signed a new support deal with a firm of home emergency support engineers in the East Midlands.

CET Structures, based in Castle Donington, serves the infrastructure, civil engineering, construction, property and insurance industries.

It said a growing demand for its testing, monitoring and surveying services required a rugged system that allowed secure access to data for the firm’s team of technicians and consultants.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but the order is a major boost to Tamworth-based Quiss.

Matt Rhodes, commercial services manager for Quiss Technology, said: “CET has a growing reputation for the quality and responsiveness of its service, which relies heavily on its IT system and infrastructure.

“Businesses like CET put their systems and service providers like us under more pressure than ever before to deliver resources faster, support new business initiatives and help them keep pace with the competition.”

He said the firm had implemented both new hardware and software to ensure the CET system was fit for purpose.

Scott Hughes, IT manager for CET, said: “We are the first line response for home emergency claims for several of the UK’s largest insurers and our reputation is built on the quality of our service and this requires our IT systems to be up to the job, every minute of every day.

“Through proactively monitoring our business critical systems, more serious issues will be dealt with within the terms of a rigorous service level agreement. If the issue cannot be diagnosed remotely, Quiss will dispatch an engineer to our data centre, which offers real peace of mind that we can continue to deliver our service promise, regardless of what issues we may face.”

Rhodes said he hoped the contract would develop into a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.

“Attracting clients of this calibre, proves Quiss Technology has the right technical offering, backed by an unrivalled service quality,” he added.
