On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Natalie Walker

Robertson Construction England has appointed Natalie Walker as its business development manager for Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands.

She said: “It’s wonderful to be a part of Robertson and to join a rapidly growing and exciting business covering Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

“The new business is going from strength to strength, as Robertson plans to build on its success in Scotland by becoming a dominant force and construction leader south of the border.

“I look forward to increasing our partnering opportunities and working with a wide range of organisations, with the hotel and higher education sectors of particular interest. This will strengthen our reputation as the contractor of choice, delivering real value for our expanding range of clients in the months and years ahead.”

Two experienced sales executives have been appointed by UK floral features supplier Plantscape as it seeks to build on the most successful year in its history.

Lucinda Stone and Alan McGregor have been given the task of securing new business and servicing current clients on behalf of the company, which plants up, installs and maintains floral displays to more than 300 councils and organisations across the country.

Last year Plantscape, which is based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, saw a 20 per cent increase in business, which included large orders for the streets of Liverpool, Blackburn, Middlesbrough and outside Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham.

It also achieved record sales towards the end of the year for its lamppost-mounted solar-powered Christmas trees, which are unique in the industry, having rented out more than 1,000 of the units for the festive season.

Stone, who lives in Leek, Staffordshire, will look after the company’s South of England sales while McGregor, from Sandiacre, Derbyshire, will take responsibility for its Central region. Ireland and the North of England will continue to be looked after by Plantscape sales executive Christine Redfern.
