Investment sparks director role for Springhall

A serial Nottingham investor has taken on the role of director after pumping £25,000 into a local electrical firm.
Andrew Springhall, who owns recruitment firm Blusource, first invested in Breedon Electrical Services in 2014 – has now been named as a director of the business.
Springhall, who sold Power-On Connections in 2008 and set up Blusource as the recession hit, says he will now help Ben Tooms transform the business from winning small domestic jobs to replacing them with high quality, larger projects.
Springhall said: “I was once a customer of Ben’s and was always impressed with his passion and drive. When I originally got involved with Breedon, I was initially mentoring Ben and helping him transition from an electrician into a director of a successful business.”
Springhall says he will now be taking a more active role in Breedon, which is set hit £350,000 turnover in the current financial year. He also has plans to expand staff numbers to 12 by the end of 2017.
Ben Tooms, director of Breedon Electrical Services said: “Working with Andrew has been both educational and rewarding.
“With his strategic input, the business is exactly where I want it to be as we have installed a foundation that will allow us to expand the business in the future.
“We will be taking on more staff and are even planning to launch other services.”
