Uppingham design agency sold for £5.1m

Be Heard, the London digital marketing group, is set to buy Uppingham-based design agency MMT.

The deal, which is worth £5.1m will be funded by a share issue which Be Heard hopes will raise £8m.

MMT Digital posted profits of £1.35m for the year ending March 2015, and Be Heard has described the acquisition as “joining together best-in-class companies spanning the core digital marketing disciplines”.

Peter Scott, executive chairman of Be Heard said: “The acquisition of MMT Digital will be our second since November 2015 and alongside Agenda21 their skills and capabilities will become an integral part of our client offering.

“Beyond this we have a strong pipeline of potential investment opportunities as we look to build out the Group’s capabilities and capacity across the UK, US and Europe.”
