On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Geldards has appointed Daniel Martin and Claire Stretton as solicitors in the Nottingham corporate team covering the Midlands area.

Martin, previously at EHL Commercial, has a history of advising both national and international companies on a wide range of transactional work and offering directors and dhareholders strategic insight. He has developed a specialism in selling lettings agencies and property management companies to some of the biggest players in the UK market.

Stretton joins Geldards from Sheffield based firm HLW Keeble Hawson, bringing with her experience in share and business sales for both public and private companies, shareholder agreements, reorganisations and other general corporate governance issues such as reviewing and drafting articles of association, reductions of capital and Companies Act compliance.

Essential Fleet Services of Lincoln has appointed Greg Taylor as its new commercial director. Taylor is formerly operations director with ALD Automotive and will join the company in June.

He has over 19 years’ experience within the contract hire and leasing industry with a background in finance, sales and operations.

A qualified accountant, he first joined Leaseplan as financial planning & analysis manager in 1997 before being appointed head of sales. He then joined the board of ING Car Lease in 2001 as commercial director, a position he retained during the acquisition of ING by Alphabet in 2011. He has spent the last three years on the board at ALD.

Lead generation specialist Communication Avenue, has appointed industry stalwart Richard Tomlinson.

Tomlinson has over 20 years of experience in the marketing services industry. He spent 18 years at Experian which included a directorship of the public sector division and more recently he was Sales Director at Callcredit Information Group.

Tomlinson will initially be holding a consultancy role at Newark-based Communication Avenue assisting CEO, Phil Lightfoot, with the creation and implementation of a one, three and five-year strategy.

A trio of new roles has been filled at Freshtime UK as the Boston fresh chilled food producer continues to expand its workforce.

Lewis McKeown (technical manager), Nick Ogden (process manager) and James Zamimba (product planner) joined the team earlier this month as the latest additions to the team.

Nottingham-based Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) XenoGesis has appointed Peter White as director of bioanalytical business development to further strengthen its growing DMPK team.

An experienced analytical project manager, White brings almost 20 years combined Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic (DMPK) experience gained through working for CROs, as a consultant and with large pharma companies in both the discovery and development arenas.

With a speciality in mass spectrometry and bioanalysis, White has used his expertise in both large and small molecule analysis to deliver pre-clinical and clinical bioanalytical support to numerous drug projects.
