On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Derby-based GCI has announced two senior appointments to its leadership team including a new chief commercial officer and chief operating officer.
Mike Ayres will be joining the firm as chief commercial officer after previously working as managing director business markets (UK) at Easynet and later senior vice president strategic channel at Interoute.
Phil Smith joins GCI as chief operating officer (COO) after previously working at CGI and Capgemini. He said: “I believe the team at GCI is primed and ready to take things to the next level. I also believe that in a progressively commoditised sector, GCI will serve our customer better by developing an increasingly proactive and consultative approach.”
Three team members have been promoted to associates and one to partner in the expanding real estate team at law firm Nelsons Solicitors.
Chris Huntingford is taking on the role of Partner while colleagues Rachel Bushell, Trevor Scott and Mary Gharmount have been promoted to associates. Chris specialises in providing advice on properties over £500,000 and technical conveyancing matters.
