Petronas Lubricants International (PLI) has launched its first branded flagship workshop for commercial vehicles in partnership with Alltruck, the vehicle contract hire, maintenance, rental and fleet management firm.

The partnership with Alltruck is the first of its kind in Europe and is worth £750,000.

The new workshop in the East Midlands will include Authorised Testing Lanes at its Loughborough facilities and the potential to complete 100 heavy goods vehicles MOT tests a week (an annual vehicle test for safety, roadworthiness aspects and exhaust emissions required in Great Britain).

Alltruck’s Loughborough operation will be a part of a larger network of 3,500 PETRONAS branded workshops to be established across Europe over the next five years.

Alessandro Orsini, PLI regional head of Europe, said: “We continue to grow our network of branded workshops and this time, with Alltruck , we have established another first, especially for commercial vehicles in the East Midlands region.

“As part of the Petronas branded workshops network, independent garages such as Alltruck will benefit from stronger brand recognition as an affiliate of Petronas, a leader in lubricants technology.

“We aim to bring more tangible value through innovative solutions tailored to improve and support the business of the workshop, as well as provide tailor-made services that meet the needs of the workshop’s business and growth aspirations.”

Alltruck was founded in 1990 as a transport service provider. Today, the firm operates out of two depots in Nottingham and Loughborough in addition to its head office in Croft. In 2014, the company was listed in the Top 200 companies in East Midlands (by Grant Thornton UK) with a growth of 9.8%.
