Cocktail bar to create 15 jobs in Nottingham

A new cocktail bar is set to create 15 jobs in Nottingham when it opens in September.
London-based Be At One is opening its 34th bar in the city in the former Ark clothing store. Ark closed earlier this year, and the building on Victoria Street has been vacant ever since.
Be At One began when three bartenders Steve Locke, Leigh Miller and Rhys Oldfield decided all the cocktail bars in London were becoming too condensed. They all took out a car loan and bought a run down indian restaurant in Battersea Rise.
Co-owner Steve Locke said: “I have been coming to Nottingham since the early nineties when quite a few of my friends went to university there, I’ve never failed to have great night out.
“Nottingham has always had a legendary bar and restaurant scene which we are looking forward to joining and bring something different with our our unique offering.”
Be At One’s Nottingham bar has been granted a late license.
