Profits double at Leicester plastics firm

Profits have almost doubled at Leicester manufacturer Oadby Plastics.

The company made a profit of £3.13m in 2015, compared with £1.64m in 2014. Turnover also rose from just over £28m to £29.7m during the same period.

Staff numbers rose from 174 in 2014 to 186 – however the wage bill fell. Directors’ pay was slashed from £1.32m in 2014 to £314,944 last year. In 2014 the highest paid director took home almost £500,000.

Oadby Plastics was formed nearly 50 years ago and operates from a 160,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution plant on Scudamore Road in Leicester. It moved to new offices in January of this year.
