On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Encore Personnel has appointed growth capital specialist Richard Bishop as a non-executive director.

Bishop, who was one of the founders of the Business Growth Fund, will support Encore’s MD Greg Latham and the senior team.

Leicester-based Bishop has a 25-year experience with growing entrepreneurial companies as a private equity and growth capital investor. He was a partner at 3i Group, the international investment management organisation, where he headed a 2.5 billion Euro portfolio.

Bishop left 3i to launch the Business Growth Fund, where he was Head of Investments, responsible for the UK wide investment strategy and leading the investment teams.

He said: “I am looking forward to working with Greg Latham and his two fellow shareholders and senior team to help grow Encore. I see my role as an independent director but working as part of the whole team to help shape the company’s future.

“This is a new and exciting challenge. Encore is a business with a strong strategy for growth, impressive clients and a robust focus. I am excited by businesses which want to grow and become more successful – and Encore is one of them.”

Tallents Solicitors has promoted Vili Chung to Partner.

Chung has experience in both commercial and residential property transactions. She joined Tallents Solicitors in Mansfield in April 2014.

She said: “Tallents Solicitors has had a reputation for delivering a high quality legal service for nearly 245 years.

“I’m very excited about joining the partner Team and being able to utilise my skills in helping Tallents face the challenges of being a 21st century law firm.”
