Partner at Nottingham-based law firm Cleggs, Jayne Harrison tells us how she switches off at the weekend.
How do you relax at the weekend?
With three small children I am not sure I do relax at the weekend, but as a family we love to watch Nottingham Panthers play ice hockey at the weekends during the ice hockey season. Then in the summer we try and enjoy the outdoors whether that is riding bikes or swimming.
How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
I try not to work at the weekends, if at all possible, I like to spend time with my family but if I did have urgent work that needed my attention then I would try and work on it after the children had gone to bed.
What’s your favourite?
– holiday destination? My favourite holiday destination is Hawaii. We would love to go back in a few years when the children are old enough to enjoy the Islands.
– book? The only books I read at the moment are children’s book. So it would be ‘Dear Zoo’ or ‘My Hamster is an Astronaut’.
– album? Anything by the Stereophonics but probably ‘A decade in the Sun: Best of the Stereophonics’.
– food? I love Italian food but as I do not eat cheese and I am a vegetarian this has its challenges!
– TV programme? I really enjoyed ‘In the line of duty’ recently. I love a good drama.
– website or app? As I have recently moved to Cleggs I am spending a lot of time on Linkedin at the moment.
How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
I usually spend Sunday evenings recovering from the busy weekend I have had with my family and getting ready for the week ahead!
