Itsu sets sights on Nottingham

Nottingham’s crowded food scene could be joined by a new eatery run by the people behind the Pret a Manger brand.
Itsu looks set to take the former USC unit on Clumber Street after submitting a planning application to Nottingham City Council.
The restaurant and takeaway will serve Asian-influenced food.
Julian Metcalfe opened Itsu Chelsea in 1997 whilst working at Pret a Manger (which he co-founded in 1986).
It now has over 60 shops in London and a shop in Cambridge, on Oxford’s Cornmarket Street, Reading, Richmond, Westfield London, Stansted Airport and our flagship restaurant, itsu [dining]. The firm recently opened in Leeds.
