On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Mountsorrel-based Charnwood Accountants has welcomed accountants Vicky Keenan and Emma Barker to its team.

Keenan has joined the accountancy firm after 18 months as a senior auditor with national practice BDO. Prior to that she spent seven years in a varied audit, tax and accountancy role with Newby Castleman, one of the East Midlands’ largest independent accountancy practices.

Baker has also worked for several regional independent practices; most notably Essex Abel in Loughborough and former Leicester firm Thomas May & Co, with whom she began her accountancy training. During her 12 year career

she has been involved in advising owner managed businesses as well as offering management accounting services to large companies.

Keenan said: “My new role isn’t just about compliance and banging out the numbers. It’s about a proactive approach and adding value for our clients.

Barker added: “There is so much more to helping clients than assisting them with their tax returns. “I get the chance to see the job through from start to finish and give clients the information they need to make good business decisions.”

East Midlands property consultancy Innes England has expanded its team across all three offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester with new appointments.

Assistant surveyor Andrew Pettifor joins the firm’s Nottingham team as a mature student at Nottingham Trent University. Pettifor is studying Real Estate.

The Leicester office has also added to its team with the appointment of associate director Rahul Saini, who joins from Lambert Smith Hampton where he specialised in valuation. There is also a change in department for Laura Hibbs who is moving within the office from professional services to its agency team.

Gillian Minogue has also joined the firm in Derby as property administrator. Gillian joins Innes England from G3 Whittle where she was responsible for the strategic development and management of the Castle Heights building in Nottingham.
