Electric vehicle firm reboots operations after restructuring

A Silverstone firm which upcycles and electrifies classic cars and lorries has resumed its operations after a corporate reorganisation, after fell into administration in March.

Under the leadership of David Lorenz, the Northamptonshire-based Lunaz Group has effectively divided into two separate entities.

The Lunaz Applied Technologies (LAT) division, which specialises in modifying commercial vehicles like bin lorries, has essentially been transferred to a newly formed sibling company called UEV (Upcycled Electric Vehicles) for £130,000.

The company, which is backed by footballing superstar David Beckham, has worked on modernising vehicle marques such as Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce and Range Rover – along with a fleet of bin lorries.

Lunaz Design will now recommence operations under its original name.
