On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Browne Jacobson has added to its corporate banking and finance team in the East Midlands with the appointments of partner Shaun McCabe and solicitor James Busby into its Nottingham practice.

Banking and finance partner McCabe re-joins the firm from Shoosmiths where he has been recognised in the leading legal directory Chambers & Partners as “commercial and always responsive”. Legal 500 has also praised him for his “high standard of advice”.

Busby joins the firm from Gateley, where he previously trained and qualified three years ago. He has considerable experience in real estate finance, acquisition finance and his clients include banks and other financial institutions and borrowers across a wide variety of corporate sectors.

Wigston-based Luxury car upholstery specialists, Ruskin Design has appointed Nick Hemsley to bolster the car trimming department together with and a business administrator to manage the business support systems bringing the team to 11.

Ruskin Design’s managing director, Steve Castledine said: “We’ve had major and sustained growth in orders over this financial year, so much so that we now have the confidence to put into motion our planned expansion programme.

“These are very exciting times for us. The expansion of the design and administration teams is just the beginning of the first phase in our plan and will pave the way for our future growth, including the possibility of relocation to larger premises towards the end of 2017.
