Jobs lost as sun goes down on Nottingham solar energy firm

The light has gone out on Nottingham-based solar energy services provider Ipsol.

Administrators from Quantuma have taken control of the company which operated from Unit 12, Easter Park, Lenton Lane, Nottingham.

Joint administrators are Simon Bonney and Andrew Hosking.

The SME had four staff, all of whom have been made redundant.

Ipsol operated a laboratory involved in the testing of solar panels and was accredited by the UK Accreditation Service for the provision of certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.

However, Bonney said Ipsol had struggled to find sufficient customers to make it economically viable.

He added that Quantuma was exploring options as to whether Ipsol might yet have a future and was marketing the business to possible interested parties.
