Up to 20 new jobs in Leicestershire as BillSaveUK expands

Leicestershire energy company BillSaveUK is opening three new distribution depots over the next quarter, creating 20 jobs, bringing the total to 10

Both its new branches in Bristol and East Anglia (Thetford), will begin trading this autumn. The third location at Rearsby in rural Leicestershire has already opened for business and over the next few months will take on its full role as BillSaveUK’s central distribution depot, supporting operations across the Midlands and nationwide.

The purpose of the new branches in Bristol and Thetford will be to service operations locally and store materials required for cavity wall and loft insulation contracts. The company’s new central distribution depot meanwhile will provide a home for the region’s insulation and scaffolding operations together with transport, maintenance and parking for over 40 commercial vehicles and a purpose-built training academy, planned for development in 2017.

Around 20 new jobs are expected to be generated as a result of this expansion, with the bulk of these planned for Leicestershire where BillSaveUK also has its head office. The new roles will takes staff  numbers up to 260.

Bill Rumble, BillSaveUK director, said: “As a start-up business we need to find ways to stand out from the competition and invest in opportunities which we know are important to our customers in the house building industry. Having a local workforce comes high on that agenda, so by expanding our network of branches we can offer a ‘on the doorstep’ expert service to new build sites nationwide.

“We already have a comprehensive network stretching from Glasgow in the north to Fareham in the south, but needed to extend our reach in to East Anglia and the West Country – opening new branches in Bristol and Thetford therefore marks the start of a strategic expansion programme.

“Our new central hub in Leicestershire meanwhile provides us with the space we need to house new energy efficiency solutions and deliver our teams’ development programmes. We take the training of our employees extremely seriously, ensuring they meet the high technical standards, customer care practices and health and safety regulations required for working on new build sites.”

Rumble concluded: “This is a developing market and as new home hunters become ever more energy aware, we look forward to having the facilities, expertise and accessibility to support our customers in building energy efficient homes which buyers aspire to live in.”
