Cool deal for Derby digital agency

Derby-based digital agency Burnthebook has landed a major project to design and publish a series of scientific research reports for the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP), a working group of the Arctic Council.

AMAP coordiantes work to monitor and assess pollution levels and the effect of climate change in the Arctic region. Burnthebook has published a number of AMAP reports in recent years, and has now secured the work to produce 12 new reports commissioned by AMAP, covering a range of high priority topics including Adaption Actions for Changing Arctic (AACA), and Snow, Water, Ice and Permafrost in the Arctic (SWIPA).

A spokesperson from AMAP said: “AMAP has come to regard Burnthebook as a reliable and professional partner supporting both its web-based and printed publication work. The team at Burnthebook are highly professional and competent and always flexible when it comes to working to very tight deadlines, with multiple editors in often far-flung locations.”

Jackie Clarke, director at Burnthebook, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured this new contract with AMAP, allowing us to continue to grow the publishing element of business. The scientific research sector is very niche, but is a particular specialism of ours mainly due the ability of our publishing team who are used to working with editors in remote locations. The team’s exceptional attention to detail and their ability to take technical data and make it digestible, is what makes us great to work with.”
