CPD accreditation for Menopause in Workplace training specialist

An organisation that specialises in menopause training in the workplace has had its courses accredited by the independent pioneer of quality standards, the CPD Certification Service.

It further elevates the credentials of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, which last year delivered its training to over 1000 organisations and over 1 million employees via a series of workshops across the country, both online and face-to-face

Along with the formal accreditation, its flagship courses, Menopause Training for Line Managers and Menopause Training for Colleagues have been heralded by major UK PLCs and have been described as ”…the best, in terms of construction” by the training body.

Earlier this year, the team invested further in its digital training so that vital professional development and awareness could take place in as flexible a manner as possible.

That investment has proven invaluable to clients, whose teams have since been able to continue their learning at home, ensuring organisations are as menopause friendly as possible during the lockdown and for when employees return to the workplace.

Founder Deborah Garlick explains;

‘I am delighted that we are now CPD accredited as it reinforces the message of quality that we are renowned for. Prior to Lockdown, the vast majority of our training sessions were in person and when the lockdown started, all of our sessions at employers’ workplaces were postponed, waiting for news.’

‘However, we were ready to scale-up and then roll out our online training solutions very swiftly. Clearly this situation is going on for longer than many anticipated and forward-thinking employers who care about their colleagues’ wellbeing have been in touch regularly about our digital offering including webinars, videos and eLearning.’

‘To us, that’s important and fantastic to hear. Creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be at their best, and know their employer cares is more crucial than ever. There is the risk of disconnection during periods of furlough or working from home, a lack of regular social contact and poor management and leadership.’

‘Being furloughed can make people worried about the return to work and living with COVID19. Meanwhile, others continuing to work at home may have more time available to participate in training. Now we can ensure that all employees can develop their skills and invest in things that matter to them and their wellbeing.

‘The Henpicked team have been wonderful in driving this forward together and our first webinar during the Lockdown period was fully booked within 24 hours, with over 100 people and a waiting list, so we had to re-run it. Meanwhile, it is just great to see these organisations are giving their employees access to high quality training and resources, so even if they are out of sight in the physical workplace they are certainly not out of mind.’

The next series of webinars and training from Henpicked will focus on helping employers communicate and engage colleagues in their menopause campaigns.

The last webinar featured guest speakers from Sainsbury’s and Leicestershire County Council with the next set to feature Dr Dawn Harper, NHS GP and Presenter from Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies and will focus on the impact of menopause symptoms at work.
