First phase of flagship £90m development on target to open next Summer

Parliament Square

Liverpool-based Legacie Developments says that significant progress has been made on its flagship Parliament Square scheme and it is “on target” to open next Summer.

The state-of-the-art £90m residential development, comprising 500 apartments and retail facilities across four tower blocks, is the company’s biggest construction scheme to date.

Legacie says it will have a transformative impact on the area around Parliament Street and the Baltic Triangle.

The first apartment tower, which has completely sold out, will welcome its first residents by August next year.

John Morley, Legacie Developments managing director, said: “We have made major progress at Parliament Square and we are firmly on target to open the first phase of the development next Summer.

“Overall, we are ahead of schedule on the entire development.

“It is great news for us as a company and great news for the local community because Parliament Square is going to have a positive economic impact and will revitalise a key thoroughfare into the city centre.”

He added: “It will also compliment the burgeoning Baltic Triangle district.

“We’re excited about opening next Summer and are already looking ahead to new opportunities in Liverpool.”

The company, founded by John Morley in 2016, has delivered multiple residential projects in the region including Liverpool’s Ropemaker Place apartment scheme, the renovation of the historic Dale Street shops and the redevelopment of the flagship Reliance House in the city’s commercial district.

Legacie has recently expanded operations to Manchester with the announcement of a £40m residential development at Salford Quays.
